Julia Bell can provide a solution to fit your interior design requirements. Each option is dependent on the scale and volume of work involved.
Concept Design
This is the first stage of the interior design process, during which the goal is to deliver to the client a visual representation of the design ideas and mood for the space. This is achieved by:
An initial meeting with the client to discuss the brief and budget
Taking a measured survey, if necessary
Drafting floor plans
Drawing 3D visuals
Creating mood boards with sample materials such as fabrics, trimmings, furniture images, stones, timbers, metals, and other finishes
Preparing a preliminary budget with provisional sums
Once the concept design has been presented, the client can choose to develop and implement the ideas themselves, or can engage Julia Bell to progress the project to the next stage.
Concept Design, Detail Design and Supply of Goods
This option includes all of the above services, as well as:
Developing the approved design concepts into further detail, including editing of visuals/drawings
Acquiring additional samples
Preparing specifications and schedules
Ordering of goods
Managing of and liaising with suppliers, especially where bespoke items are concerned
Arranging deposits and payments for all goods on behalf of client
Scheduling deliveries to suit client's schedule, or in special cases accepting deliveries on behalf of client
Assisting with installation and styling of the space/s
If builders are involved in the project, the client would manage these themselves or engage a third party to do so.
Concept/Detail Design, Supply, and Project Management
This is the complete design service from concept to final installation, including all of the above services, as well as:
Engaging contractors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers
Managing builders and other work on site
Overseeing delivery and installation of goods
Tracking project budget and financials
One-Off Consulations and Services
For those clients looking for some professional help without needing to embark on a full-scale interior design project, Julia Bell can offer:
Colour consulations
Soft furnishings, such as curtains, blinds, and cushions
Mood boards for individual rooms (without floor plans or 3D visuals)
Design advice and direction as individually required (charged on an hourly basis)
E-Design
Whether time or distance is an issue, interior design for your space can still be accessible with the E-Design option. The client sends in floor plans (with measurements) and photos of the room/s and a brief description of what they are looking for, including how much they want to spend. A further phone call or Skype session may be required to address any questions. Julia Bell will then put together a digital mood board, as well as a schedule of supplier details, so the client can then implement the design on their on time.
Pricing
Given the individual nature of each interior design job, prices will depend on the client's requirements. Subject to the size of the project, the work will be charged either as a fixed fee or on an hourly basis. For very large-scale projects, a percentage of the overall contract price will be charged.
